About Jeffrey "Jeff" Mathis

A resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, Jeffrey "Jeff" Mathis pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina (UNC-Chapel Hill), where he earned a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies (Economics and Political Science). At UNC, he was a Morehead Scholar, participated on the JV Numeral Men's Basketball team and was the Big Brother/Big Sister Program co-chairperson. After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill, Jeffrey Mathis went on to obtain a JD from UNC and practiced law for several years with major firms in Washington, D.C. and Austin, Texas.
Later in his career, Jeffrey Mathis turned his attention to real estate development and was involved with a number of companies. Since 2004, he has served as a managing partner at Crossroads Realty Group, a Charlotte-based firm specializing in the management and development of retail shopping centers, free-standing retail buildings, offices, and small multifamily properties. During his time there, Jeff Mathis has developed and been involved with the acquisition and development of commercial property sites for major national retailers such as Walmart, Dunkin’ Donuts, Walgreens, Pier One, Harris Teeter, CVS, and Lowe’s, among others. He also holds managing partner duties for Skyway Communities, which concentrates on the acquisition of RV parks along the East Coast and across the South.
Away from work, Jeffrey Mathis participates in a variety of charitable activities, most recently providing financial support, used clothing and toys for Ukrainian refugee families through the One Box for Ukraine program.
